is a not-for-profit, social and cultural development organization established in 1997 and formally registered in 2000 under the Societies Registration Act, XXVI of 1961. With over two decades of dedicated service, Sristy has been working to build an exploitation-free society where justice, peace, dignity, and human rights are accessible to all.
We began as a small community initiative in Rajarhat, West Bengal, conducting awareness camps, blood donation drives, and tree plantation activities. Over time, we expanded to become a multi-district, state-recognized NGO, implementing large-scale projects on health, education, livelihood, gender equality, and child rights in collaboration with national and international partners.
Today, Sristy partners with leading institutions such as UNICEF, ActionAid, CASA, Azim Premji Foundation, IGSSS, DFID, C3, and various government departments to implement sustainable and impactful programs across West Bengal.
We envision an exploitation-free civil society where people of all communities live with peace, justice, and prosperity, enjoying their fundamental human rights. We visualize a world without poverty, patriarchy, or injustice, where every individual has the right to live with dignity.
To raise awareness among rural and urban communities about their basic human rights, and to build human capacity for sustainable and equitable development. We work in solidarity with the marginalized, supporting their struggles to eradicate poverty, patriarchy, and injustice.
